The Hagerman area is known for its fossil beds and the Thousand Springs of the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer. Hagerman is also home to a national fish hatchery, a university research station, and extensive aquaculture (fish farms), assisted by an abundance of geothermal water for temperature regulation. The Snake River is very close to Hagerman City with two boat ramps and docks just minutes away. There is also a raft ramp for those who like to run the rapids and even a guide service just outside of town. From winter to summer Hagerman offers a lot of activities, even hosting a Fireworks show the weekend before the Forth of July, a Fossil days parade to a Fall car show each year in the city park!
